Points to Take Care of

1. Penalty Points Allocation
Size of Defect - (length in inches) Number of Penalty Points
<1=3 inches - 1
>3<6 inches - 2
>6<9 inches - 3
>9 inches - 4

2. Acceptability Count
1. Standard: 40 per 100 Sq. yards as per 4 points system.
2. Usually different for Average of a Lot and Maximum for a Roll
3. Buyer Specific acceptance count is given preference over standard acceptance count and is written here.

3. Other things to Check
• Width: Check at 3 different locations
• Bowing % (Bow % = Bow in CM/Width in CM)
• Skew % (Skew % = Skew in Cm/Width in CM),
Standard Acceptability – 3% of Fabric Width

4. Holes Related Policy
Needle Holes at Selvedges should not be penalized
All holes are considered as 4 points.

5. In one Yard maximum 4-points are assigned irrespective of the size of defects in the Yards.

6. Any running defect for more than 4 continuous yards will cause the roll to be seconds, hence not to be cut.

7. All the Reporting to be done in specified formats

8. Second tab. is only issued for Cutting if QC Manager authorized / written instruction.
