Sava’s Corporate Social Responsibility Policy (CSR)

Sava is committed to improving the quality of life to its the community and undertakes various activities in pursuance of the ordinary course of business of a Company. The focus areas are:

  1. Education
    Sava provides financial and other activities support to “Aagosh – A Trust” to support Education for underprivileged students. Set up with partnerships with NGO’s, Sava is not only committed to giving access to Education for not so privileged children but also to expand their scope of learning. With periodical support, Sava helps these children with textbooks, uniforms and annual functions – making a difference to 180 + Primary class students and 130+ Secondary class students.
  2. Women Empowerment
    It always all begins at home. So at Sava we ensure that all women get the freedom to gain new skills and gain autonomy. Sava believes that this area of CSR alone results in driving innovation and boosting the company’s profits. Homeworkers for special handcrafted products play a vital role in helping Sava and our society to create a WIN-WIN situation for women. With such products, Sava is able to financially empower and provide livelihood opportunities to women even in the rural areas of the country.
  3. Living Pages
    Sava with its key customer’s tries and create a sustainable relationship for the workers and its customers. Sava believes in Taking good care of its workers as they are at the heart of the company. Part of realising this is by paying a fair remuneration: a living wage. Sava wants its workers to reach a good and healthy living standard and this becomes possible by our customers understanding the need to pay a true price for our products and services and working with Sava as a Collaborative goal.

CSR Governance

A structured governance procedure is followed in Sava to monitor the activities of CSR. In compliance with the CSR Rules, a CSR Committee comprised of the company senior, middle and worker level, monitors the CSR policy & activities of the company from time to time. The CSR committee members monitor the activities and report its findings to the Board of directors.

CSR Expenditure

The CSR expenditure will include all expenditure, direct or indirect, incurred by the company on CSR activities undertaken in accordance with this CSR Policy. Accordingly, any income arising from the CSR Activities will be netted off from the CSR expenditure and such net amount will be reported as CSR expenditure.

Amendments

The Board of Directors of the company shall amend the policy from time to time, as per the recommendation by the CSR Committee.
